Sean: In the moment that I’m listening to Nathaniel’s commands, I get to die.ALT
Sean: I get to not be myself. I get to just be someone who’s doing what he’s told, and I don’t have to think about what I’m doing.ALT
Sean: And it’s the first rest I’ve had in a long time.ALT

What is it like for you being back in this moment, with the two of them?

Spenser, off-camera, to Brennan: I’m going to have you make a Move roll, to try and get to that rope in time. Nathaniel: Move it, move it!ALT
Spenser, off-camera: Are you trying to get to the rope in time? Brennan: I think with LT, I think with my lieutenant yelling, “Move it, move it…”ALT
Brennan: Something autonomitc—my spine moves, of so many drills over and over again.ALT
Brennan: But I think without him there, I don’t go for the rope. I just stay here fighting dogs until I’m dead.ALT
Nathaniel: That’s an order, Finnerty! Up the rope!ALT
    Sean: You got it, LT!ALT

  • Gifset of Episode 2 of Candela Obscura. Robbie, narrating Howard’s actions: Howard comes to, looks about. Doesn’t say a word to any of his friends.ALT
Robbie: He pulls his little kit out of his jacket. It’s his laboratory equipment. He sets it on his lap.ALT

Robbie: And he makes a small incision in the top of his own head, about three inches or so wide. Parts it with his fingers.ALT
Robbie: Sets it back down. He pulls out a small handsaw with a crank, like a drill. It’s got a circular drill bit in it.ALT
Robbie: He puts it on the top of his skull, and just begins to crank. And crank. And crank.ALT
Robbie: You sort of smell that powder, that earthy powder of bone mixed with blood.ALT
Robbie: And then you just hear a (pop) and a tiny piece of his skull comes out. He puts it inside of his surgery equipment.ALT
Robbie: Blinks his eye. Squeezes his skin back together. It’s bleeding pretty good. Puts his hat back on, and says…ALT
Howard: Ah, well. Sometimes you just have to expand your mind.ALT

An ancient cultural tradition. It’s been around for millennia. I never thought I’d try it myself, but it just… it was in the moment!

    +bonus:

Gif of everyone at the table reacting to Howard's previous line. Ashley as Auggie, Anjali as Charlotte, and Laura as Arlo all stare in shock while Matt smiles.ALT

There, in a torch-lit tavern inn interior, you see the figures that you saw scryed on once before, gathered around in conversation with a bit of anxiety and hope in their eyes.

  • Gifset from Campaign 2, Episode 48 of Critical Role. Marisha, as Beau: “I thought you'd be excited. I thought I did a damn good job in there. I thought me and Caduceus both did. I was talking to Nott and we thought for damn sure that you would be so stoked about this goddamn fucking tower.”ALT
Liam, as Caleb: “You know, in the abstract, I am, but the problem with friends is that you have to care about them. And I wander away.”ALT
Beau: “Wow. Wowwww. Fucking cool, Caleb!”ALT

Ashley: "I will say, I love that you are playing someone and representing a character with chronic pain."ALT
Taliesin: "Thank you. Part of it is having some chronic pain, which definitely..." Off-screen, Ashley: "Oh yeah." Taliesin: "Which, you all know about that, but—"ALT
Ashley: "Yeah." Off-screen, Taliesin: "It's not fun." Ashley: "No." Taliesin: "I know people who have it worse, but, yeah."ALT
Taliesin: "It is definitely... And it also helps with the, 'Why are you so angry?" Like, 'Oh, here's a really good reason.'"ALT

[DANI]: Ashton means a lot to me, personally, based on my own chronic illness struggles and my own chronic pain struggles. And so it’s been very emotional to see that represented in you, and I know how incredible it is for you to have this catharsis as well to get to play him. And it means a lot to me to be able to see their journey.

    +bonus:

Taliesin: "Nothing works right. You were built poorly. Sorry. Yeah." Off-screen, Dani: "Too real!" Taliesin: "Too real? Just like, 'Oh, god.'"ALT

Aabria: "But after a while you melt, and you are the ocean."ALT
Aabria: "It's hard to come back from something like that."ALT

I was wherever you go next.
